The reason behind existence is one of the most basic yearnings for the truth. In the Quran, Allah [subhanahu wa ta'la] says in Surah Adh-Dhariyat, verse 56:
I did not create the Jinns and humankind except to worship Me.
How can you worship Allah if you don’t know who he is or how to worship him and what is pleasing to him and what he likes and what he does not like, hence the need for us to gain knowledge, and not only gain it but to implement it also. Allah SWT says in Surah Zumar, verse 9:
Say: Are those who know equal to those who do not know?
The purpose of Fisabeelillah.org is an attempt to convey this blessed knowledge via articles from the inheritors of the prophets, the scholars of Islaam aswell as books written by both scholars and shuhadah and lectures from students of knowledge to help us understand and reflect upon our existence, so that we live our lives in accordance with what is most pleasing to He who created us.
Fisabeelillah.org also provides Quran recitation from qaris for those wanting to listen to the kalam of Allah SWT and to reflect on his, Subhanahu Wa Ta’aala’s words. Allah [Subhanahu Wa Ta’aala] says in Surah A’raf, verse 204:
"So when the Quran is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy"
